  • Richmond CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers provide support for children in the foster care system by giving them a voice in the court system and helping them during this process. CASA helps to reduce the time that children stay in the foster care and court systems. CASA also helps children regain stability in their lives. If you are interested in becoming a CASA volunteer, contact Sis. Donna Chavis or leave your name in the church office.

  • Tuesday, Aug. 4th thru Saturday, Aug. 8th for Summer Camp on the Hill.  Can you take the time to make a meaningful difference in the life of a child? Summer Camp on the Hill is a mission project which unites churches in community across racial, socio-economic and jurisdictional lines with inner city children, to give all an opportunity to experience a week of joyful fellowship and learning. This year, our church will serve as one of the host sites for this day camp during the first week in August. We will be partnering this year with members from Church of the Epiphany (Catholic). The campers will be rising 3rd & 4th graders from Church Hill schools. Camp hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday thru Friday. The closing activity on Saturday (8:30 to noon) will take place at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club (R Street). Adult volunteers are needed. Criminal Record Background and Child Protective Services checks are required.
