There is a certain “mystique” about congregational life and the worship experience of the Thirty-First Street Baptist Church that is difficult capture in words. Our motto is “Combining Relevance with Reverence,” with the guiding principle under girding our theology being “Err…err on the side of mercy.” We employ the “wholistic approach” to ministry that addresses the psycho-spiritual needs of tile whole person. Through Afrocentric preaching and teaching we seek to continue a legacy of Liberation Theology that ministers to our membership from many different perspectives.
